My name is Trish Winchcombe and I am the 'main man' behind Flippity Skip, which was a nickname for my baby girl. I come from a Visual Arts teaching background and as a Mum, my business evolved out of a need for somewhere that offered a broad, but well researched range of respected brand carriers, that suited a variety of needs and wants for the wearer and their babe/s. I felt it important that you could shop for these brands, all in the one place.

No product sits on our shelf lightly and I have a wonderful, like-minded partner that supports the back bone of what Flippity Skip represents. We have two beautiful little souls, Arieal Indigo who is now 4 and a half years old and Innes Clancy who is 2 years old. They make our lives full and rich by their presence and therefore their contribution, by default, is extremely important. The magic of their being and the wisdom that we gain as parents, more often than not, is what drives my product choices. I strongly support what I sell because it is a reflection of my belief in natural parenting and in the importance of nurturing those in our respective family units.

At Flippity Skip, we support baby wearing because we know the importance of developing that early, intimate bond between parent and child. We believe that this not only allows the babe to feel loved and cherished but as a result they develop a greater trust and sense of safety. In turn, babies that are worn tend to be less fussy, more able to take in and learn about their surroundings, sleep better and grow with more confidence in themselves and their environment.
