Bubba Lugga is a modern design ring sling that is based on the oldest method of   carrying and settling babies. The sling is a practical baby carrier that is simple to wear and by specialising in traditional hand made batik fabric, it reflects the origin of carrying your baby in a sarong. The Bubba Lugga batik fabric is extremely soft and features a unique distinguishing pattern along the centre of the sling. This centred pattern guides you in positioning your baby correctly in the centre of the sling.

POSITIONS:  

Horizontal

Newborn babes can be carried in the horizontal position when asleep or breastfeeding. In this position, the head is at the end, away from the rings. Alternatively, your babe may be happier in the recline position when awake. This position still supports the spine, while allowing babe to see.

Joey

At age 3-4 months, you can try the ‘joey’ position, if your babe can hold his/her head up. In this position, their back is against your chest and their legs crossed making sure their bottom is lower than their legs and that the fabric of the sling comes up between babes’s back and your chest. Also great for this age is the lounge position where the babe’s side is against your chest and he/she uses the crook of your arm as a headrest. Again, ensure the fabric of the sling is between you and your babe.

Hip

The hip position is ideal, once your babe is able to sit alone. Having one of your babe’s legs behind your back, this position can easily be adapted to a breastfeeding position for an older baby by lowering the sling and sliding baby towards the front. If you desire privacy simply cover baby’s head with the fabric of the sling.
